Paraphrasing techniques in newspaper texts

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na techniky parafrázování v rámci novinových textů. Zkoumání parafrází a jejich automatické generování je důležité pro další úkoly počítačového zpracování řeči (sumarizace textů, tvorba nadpisů, hodnocení automatického překladu). Jelikož nemáme obsáhlé zdroje parafrází, vybrali jsme si pro naši práci novinové texty, podle kterých jsme vytvořili seznam parafrázovacích technik a popsali je. Cílem práce bylo analyzovat, které techniky jsou v jazyce užívané a zdali se nějak liší v návaznosti na stylu textu.

Abstract:

The thesis focuses on the techniques of paraphrasing within the newspaper texts. The research of paraphrases and their automatic generation is important for other tasks of speech processing (text summarization, creation of titles, ratings automatic translation). Because we do not have any extensive resources of paraphrases, we selected newspaper texts on which we have created a list of paraphrasing techniques and describe them in our project. The aim of the thesis was to analyze which techniques are used in the language and whether the language is different in relation to a text style.
