Transformations of Places and Landscape of Velké Opatovice in the 20th and 21st Century

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá proměnami míst a krajiny v malo-hanácké obci Velké Opatovice během období 20. a 21. století. Práce přináší pohled na historické události, které se v obci během daného období staly, ze tří různých pohledů – kulturně-historického, urbánně-historického a environmentálně-historického. Svoje bádání práce podkládá obrazovými přílohami a mapami, ukazujícími vývoj proměn v obci, pro lepší orientaci. Zjištěné poznatky potom práce propojuje s obecných děním v českých zemích a v Evropě a vyvozuje z toho závěry pro život obce a život krajiny v okolí obce v přítomnosti. K možným problémům s využíváním prostoru nalezených v obci se práce v závěru snaží nalézt řešení, která pochází ze znalosti pozadí historického vývoje obce či jsou inspirována řešeními z jiných částí České republiky.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the landscape changes in the village Velké Opatovice during the period of the 20th and 21st centuries. The work gives an overview of the historical events that took place in the village during the given period, from three different perspectives - cultural-historical, urban-historical and environmental-historical. Its research is based on visual attachments and maps showing the evolution of the changes in the village for better orientation. The findings, then, link up with the general events in the Czech lands and in Europe and derive its conclusions for the life of the village and the life of the countryside around the village in the present time. For possible problems with the use of space found in the village, the work in the end seeks to find solutions that come from the knowledge of the background of the historical development of the village or are inspired by solutions from other parts of the Czech Republic.
