Cyber security of children

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se věnuje problematice rizikové chování dětí on-line. Cílem závěrečné práce je popsat rizika on-line prostoru, se kterými se mohou děti a dospívající setkat a analyzovat současnou situaci v rámci vzdělávání o kybernetických hrozbách na základních školách v Praze. V teoretické části jsou popsány kybernetické hrozby jako kyberšikana, kybergrooming, sexting, kyberstalking, sociální inženýrství, phishing, scam, dezinformace, hoax, malware, digitální nadužívání a netolismus. Dále práce obsahuje výčet vybraných osvětových projektů, které se věnují vzdělávání dětí o rizikách internetu. V praktické části najedeme vyhodnocení výsledků dotazníkového šetření žáků 5. až 9. tříd základních škol v Praze a také několik rozhovorů s učiteli na 1. stupni. V rámci dotazníku byly žákům pokládány otázky týkající se jejich znalostí a schopností v oblasti kybernetické bezpečnosti. Výsledky „testové“ části dotazníku byly dány do souvislosti s daty o množství a kvalitě vzdělávání tohoto tématu na škole. Během rozhovorů s učiteli na 1. stupni základní školy bylo zkoumáno, zda vůbec a případně jak probíhá informování o on-line rizicích u mladších žáků. Výsledkem praktické části je analýza současné situace ve smyslu efektivity vzdělávání o kybernetické bezpečnosti na základních školách v Praze.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of the risky behavior of children online. The aim of the final work is to describe the risks of online space that children and adolescents may encounter and analyze the current situation in the field of education about cyber threats at primary schools in Prague. The theoretical part describes cyber threats such as cyberbullying, cybergrooming, sexting, cyberstalking, social engineering, phishing, scam, misinformation, hoax, malware, digital abuse, and netolism. Furthermore, the work contains a list of selected awareness-raising projects that focus on educating children about the risks of the Internet. In the practical part, we will find an evaluation of the results of a questionnaire survey of pupils in the 5th to 9th grades of primary schools in Prague, as well as several interviews with teachers at the 1st level. The questionnaire asked students questions about their knowledge and skills in the field of cyber security. The results of this "test" part of the questionnaire were related to data on the quantity and quality of education on this topic at school. During interviews with primary school teachers, it was examined whether and how younger pupils were informed about online risks. The result of the practical part is an analysis of the current situation in terms of the effectiveness of education on cyber security at primary schools in Prague.
