The Issue of the Adolescent Patient with Crohn´s Disease

Abstract:

Cíl: Cílem bakalářské práce je pomocí kazuistiky popsat průběh a prožívání Crohnovy choroby u dospívajícího chlapce. Crohnova choroba je chronický transmulární granulomatózní zánět trávicí trubice, který patří mezi idiopatické střevní záněty, jejichž příčina vzniku je stále neznámá. Incidence Crohnovy choroby se za posledních pár let zvýšila a velice často se objevuje u mladistvých. Pro zlepšení kvality ošetřovatelské péče je důležité znát základní informace o této nevyléčitelné nemoci. Metodika: Praktická část je zpracovaná formou kazuistiky. V praktické části je popsána nemoc od objevení prvotních příznaků až po současný stav vybraného pacienta. V kazuistice je zachyceno prožívání nemoci a změny psychického stavu nemocného. Data byla sesbírána formou nestandardizovaného rozhovoru s pacientem, jeho rodinou, zdravotnickým personálem a s pomocí dostupných lékařských zpráv. Výsledky: Při zpracování kazuistiky byly zjištěny problémy, které nemocný s Crohnovou chorobou zažívá. Nemoc způsobuje zátěž také po psychické stránce. Život s Crohnovou chorobou je velice složitý jak pro nemocného, tak jeho rodinu. Závěr: Svou bakalářskou prací bych chtěla poukázat na problémy pacientů s touto nemocí, specifickou ošetřovatelskou péči a důležitost psychické pohody pacienta.

Abstract:

Aim: The aim of the bachelor thesis is to describe, by means of the casuistic method, process and experience of the adolescent patient with Crohn´s disease. Crohn's disease is a chronic transmular granulomatous inflammation of the digestive tract, which is one of the inflammatory bowel disease whose etiology is still unknown. The incidence of Crohn's disease has increased in the last few years and very often occurs in adolescents. To improve the quality of nursing care it is important to know some basic information about this incurable disease. Methodology: The practical part is realized in the form of case studies. There is described the disease from discovery of its initial symptoms to the current state of a selected patient. There is also captured the experience of disease and changes of mental status of the patient in the casuistry. The data were collected by means of non-standardized interview with the patient, family, medical staff and also on the basis of available medical reports. Results: When processing the case study, there were found out many problems that patient with Crohn?s disease experienced. The disease also causes psychological stress. Living with Crohn's disease is very difficult for both the patient and his family. Conclusion: With my bachelor thesis I would like to highlight the problems of patients with this disease, specific nursing care and the importance of mental well being of the patient.
