Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá proměnou infrastruktury kin v Praze v letech 1989 – 2012. Cílem práce je nejen zmapovat, jak se proměnila síť kin v metropoli, ale i zjistit, jaké mají osudy kina, která v průběhu sledovaného období zanikla. První část práce popisuje proměnu infrastruktury kin v širším kontextu společenských změn. Pozornost je věnována historii a stručně je shrnut vývoj hustoty jejich sítě na celém území Česka. Podrobněji je pak rozepsán vývoj infrastruktury kin v hlavním městě, jež je vybraným územím pro celou diplomovou práci. Fáze vývoje jsou rozděleny do 4 časových etap, které byly vybrány podle charakteristických znaků jednotlivých období. Vývoj sítě kin je popsán nejen z časového, ale i z prostorového hlediska. Součástí práce jsou 3 mapy znázorňující bodovou metodou infrastrukturu kin ve 3 letech (1989, 1999 a 2013). Samotná kapitola je určena multikinům, jež jsou specifickým typem kina, který se u nás poprvé objevil v 90. letech. Stěžejní část je zaměřena na jednotlivé budovy kin na území hlavního města. Praha je rozdělena na tři morfologické zóny a využití zaniklých kin je analyzováno podle 22 správních obvodů, na které se hlavní město člení. Je provedena klasifikace využití budov a sepsáno shrnutí jednotlivých kategorií. Nakonec je shrnut současný stav nezaniklých kin, která jsou stále v provozu. Zjištěna byla jejich stručná historie, dramaturgické zaměření, cílové skupiny a možné důvody, proč právě tato kina nebyla uzavřena.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the changes in the infrastructure of the cinemas in Prague between years 1989 and 2012. The goal the work is not only to show how the cinema network in the Capital city changed over time but also to find out what destiny there is for those cinemas who no longer serve for cinematographic purposes. The first section describes the changes in the infrastructure of the cinemas in broad context of social changes. Attention is given to the history of the cinemas. Also, there is a short sum up of the development of the network density of the cinemas in the whole area of the Czech republic. Deeper analysis is then given to the development of the insfrastructure of the cinemas in the capital city, which is the chosen area for the whole thesis. The developmental stages are divided into 4 time sequences which were chosen according to characteristic signs of the individual time period. The network development is described not only from the time perspective but also spatial distribution is considered. The thesis includes 3 maps depicting the infrastructure of the cinemas in the years 1989, 1999 and 2012, using the point method. Special chapter deals with cinema complexes as the specific type of the cinema that first appeared here in the 90”s. The central part focuses on the individula cinema buildings in the area of the capital. Prague is divided into 3 morphological zones and the use the cinemas that no longer work as cinemas is analyzed in respect to 22 districts of Prague. The use of the buildings is classified and sum up of the individual categories is presented. In the end, there is a summorization of the present state of those cinemas which are still open today. Search is made in order to give information about their short history, dramaturgical focus, target groups and possible reasons why these are still in use as opposed to other cinemas.
