The issue of the development of mutual relations between the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the EU after Brexit.

Abstract:

SANITRA, Marek: The issue of the development of mutual relations between the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the EU after Brexit – University College Prague v Bratislave. Study program: International relations and diplomacy. – Thesis supervisor: doc. PhDr. Branislav Kováčik, PhD., EMBA – Bratislava: UCP, 2023, 41 pp. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to define the course of Brexit negotiations and its subsequent impact on mutual trade between the European Union and Great Britain. We reached this goal by analysing the existing documents of the European Council on Brexit negotiations and by analysing mutual trade between the European Union and Great Britain. In the first chapter, the course of negotiations and the entry of Great Britain into the European Union in 1973 is characterized, which was the reason for the original refusal of entry, and which was the reason for the subsequent entry into the EU. The second chapter defines the goal of the work and establishes hypotheses. The third chapter deals with the methodology of the work and research methods used in this work. The fourth chapter can be divided into 4 main parts. The first part describes the origin of Brexit and the course of negotiations. In the second part, the macroeconomic indicators of Great Britain are analysed. The third part focuses on mutual trade between Great Britain and the European Union - its development, commodity structure and, through the index of complementarity and the index of mutual trade intensity, the very importance of mutual trade. The last part of this chapter consists of a discussion that summarizes the previous parts of this chapter and summarizes the results presented in the previous parts. The thesis contains 14 graphs and 1 picture.

SANITRA, Marek: Problematika vývoja vzájomných vzťahov medzi Spojeným kráľovstvom Veľkej Británie a Severného Írska a EÚ po Brexite – University College Prague v Bratislave. Študijný program: Mezinárodní vztahy a diplomacie. – Vedúci záverečnej práce: doc. PhDr. Branislav Kováčik, PhD., EMBA – Bratislava: UCP, 2023, 41 str. Cieľom bakalárskej práce je definovanie priebehu rokovaní Brexitu a jeho následný doterajší dopad na vzájomný obchod medzi Európskou úniou a Veľkou Britániou. K tomuto cieľu sme dospeli analýzou existujúcich dokumentov Európskej Rady k rokovaniam o Brexite a taktiež analýzou vzájomného obchodu medzi Európskou úniou a Veľkou Britániou. V prvej kapitole je charakterizovaný priebeh rokovaní a vstup Veľkej Británie do Európskej únie v roku 1973, čo bolo dôvodom pôvodného odmietania vstupu a čo dôvodom následného vstupu do EÚ. Druhá kapitola definuje cieľ práce a stanovuje hypotézy. Tretia kapitola sa zaoberá metodikou práce a metódami skúmania použitých v tejto práci Štvrtú kapitolu je možné rozdeliť do 4 hlavných častí. V prvej časti je charakterizovaný pôvod Brexitu a priebeh rokovaní. V druhej časti sú analyzované makroekonomické ukazovatele Veľkej Británie. Tretia časť sa zameriava na vzájomný obchod medzi Veľkou Britániou a Európskou úniou – jeho vývoj, komoditnú štruktúru a prostredníctvom indexu komplementarity a indexu intenzity vzájomného obchodu aj samotnú dôležitosť vzájomného obchodu. Poslednú časť tejto kapitoly tvorí diskusia, ktorá sumarizuje predchádzajúce časti tejto kapitoly a zhŕňa výsledky uvedené v prechádzajúcich častiach. V práci sa nachádza 14 grafov a 1 obrázok.
