Application of game theory

Abstract:

Důvodem pro zvolení tématu Aplikace teorií her byl můj zájem o toto téma, který jsem získala v prvním semestru mých studií na Vysoké škole finanční a správní, o. p. s., během hodin mikroekonomie, kde se několikrát objevila zmínka o teoriích her včetně příkladu. Zhruba od té doby jsem se pravidelně účastnila seminářů Ekonomie produktivní spotřeby, které se také tomuto tématu věnovaly. V první části diplomové práce popisuji autory, kteří nejvíce přispěli k rozvoji těchto teorií dle časové osy včetně jejich popisu života, který často měl velký vliv na jejich přínosy. Poté navazuji rozborem knihy Původ ctnosti od Matthewa Ridleyho, která vysvětluje na základě aplikace teorií her různá chování člověka. Později pokračuji uvedením nejdůležitějších a nejznámějších variant her s detailním vysvětlením včetně ukázek aplikace na různé situace v byznysu. Nakonec jsem zjistila, že teorie her je uplatnitelná téměř všude, záleží jen na vytvoření dostatečného zjednodušení stavu světa.

Abstract:

The reason for taking theme Application of game theory was my interest in this theme, which I gained in the first semester of my studies at IFA o. p. s. during the lectures of microeconomics, where were several times mentioned including example. Roughly since then I took part in seminars of Economics of productive consumption that were also addressing this topic. In the very first part of my dissertation I write about the authors, who contributed the most to these theories, according to time line, including their biographies that had often huge impact on their contributions. Then I continue with analysis of book The origines of virtue by Matthew Ridley, that explains various human manners by applying game theory. Later I continue by listing most interesting and most known variants of games with detailed explanations including examples of application on different situations in business. Finally, I got to know that game theory is applicable nearly everywhere, it depends only on the classification of sufficient simplification of state of the world.
