Life quality of seniors

Abstract:

Cíl: Diplomová práce se zabývá kvalitou života seniorů ve městě Hluk. Cílem práce bylo zmapovat kvalitu života seniorů v domově pro seniory a seniorů v domácím prostředí. Za pomoci statistických testů zjistit a porovnat rozdíly v dimenzích (zdraví, blízké vztahy, volný čas, abstraktní hodnoty a základní potřeby) v závislosti na věku, pohlaví a následně tyto výsledky porovnat s reprezentativními soubory zaměřené na normu kvality života v České republice. Metodika: Testovací soubor tvořili senioři z domova pro seniory (DpS) a senioři žijící v přirozeném domácím prostředí. Výzkum byl prováděn na 100 respondentech, z toho 25 seniorů z DpS a 75 seniorů z domácího zázemí, pomocí anonymních dotazníků. Mezi respondenty bylo celkově 70 žen a 30 mužů. Všichni dotazovaní museli splnit základní kriteria (věk, kognitivní funkce, ochota, ...) pro zařazení do výzkumu. Sběr dat probíhal za pomoci subjektivního standardizovaného dotazníku SQUALA (Subjective QUAlity of Life Analysis), který byl doplněn o demografické údaje. Výsledky: V našem šetření jsme posuzovali rozdíly v jednotlivých dimenzích, které byly hodnoceny za pomocí standardizovaného dotazníku SQUALA mezi DpS a seniory z domácího prostředí. Z výsledků vyplývá, že senioři v Hluku jsou se svojí kvalitou spokojeni na stejné úrovni bez ohledu, zda žijí v DpS nebo v přirozeném domácím prostředí. Průměrné hodnoty spokojenosti v DpS se pohybovaly v rozmezí u mužů (2,00 - 4,20) a u žen (2,30 - 4,95) a u seniorů v domácím prostředí byly hodnoty u mužů (2,32 ? 3,96) a u žen (2,10 ? 3,90). Dále jsme zjistili, že míru kvality života neovlivňuje u respondentů pohlaví, věk, finance a ani vzdělání.

Abstract:

Aim: This master thesis deals with the quality of seniors life in the city Hluk. The aim of this thesis was to explore the quality of life of seniors in house for elderly people and home environments. With the help of statistical tests to determine and compare the differences in dimensions (health, close relationships, leisure, abstract values and fundamental needs), depending on age, gender and then compare these results with a representative group focused on quality standard of life in the Czech Republic. Methodics: The test group consist of seniors living in home for the elderly (DPS) and seniors living in their natural home environment. The research was carried out on 100 respondents, of which 25 seniors from the DPS and 75 from a home enviroment, using anonymous questionnaires. The group of respondents consist of 70 women and 30 men. All respondents have to comply with the basic criteria (age, cognitive function, willingness, ...) for including into research. Data were collected by standardized questionnaire SQUALA subjective (Subjective Quality of Life Analysis), which was supplemented with demographic data. Results: In the research were assessed differences in the dimensions that were evaluated using a standardized questionnaire SQUALA between the DPS and the seniors from the home environment. Results show that seniors in the city Hluk are satisfied with their quality at the same level regardless of living location. The average value of satisfaction in nursing homes were in the range in the case of men (2.00 to 4.20) and in the case of women (2.30 to 4.95) and for older people in home enviroment values were in the case of men (2.32 to 3.96) and in the case women (2.10 to 3.90). It was also found that the rate of life quality is not affect by gender, age or education and finance of respondets.
