Tato diplomová práce je pojata jako přehledová studie výskytu spirál v přírodě, umění a designu. Teoretická část je rozdělena na matematickou a estetickou část. V kapitole věnující se matematice jsou spirály definovány aritmeticky a geometricky a jsou zde rozděleny do pěti kategorií na základě charakteru jejich vinutí. Abstract:
This diploma thesis is conceived as an overview study of the occurrence of spirals in nature, art and design. The theoretical part is divided into a mathematical and aesthetic part. In the Mathematics chapter, spirals are defined arithmetically and geometrically and are divided into five categories based on the nature of their windings.
