Práca opisuje rôzne metódy reverzného inžinierstva aplikačných protokolov nad USB a využíva ich na čiastočné dekódovanie konfiguračného protokolu pre videoprevodník DAC-70. Práca sa sústreďuje hlavne na odchytenie a dekódovanie správ, no opísaná je aj metóda využívajúca reverzného inžinierstva softwéru. Na dosiahnutie cieľa sú použité špecializované nástroje. Abstract:
In this thesis, the configuration protocol of a proprietary video converter DAC-70 is partially decoded. Various techniques for reverse engineering proprietary protocols over USB are used and presented. The main focus is on packet capture and direct protocol analysis, but an alternative software reverse engineering approach is also explored.
