Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá emoční inteligencí jako klíčovým nástrojem leadershipu. Pojednává o jednotlivých aspektech leadershipu a emoční inteligence. Zaměřuje se na faktory, které mají největší vliv na úspěšné vedení týmu a spokojenost zaměstnanců. Seznamuje s jednotlivými styly vedení a jejich dopad na zaměstnance. V praktické části se snažím doložit, že leadeři s vyšší emoční inteligencí vytváří přidanou hodnotu pro firmu v podobě nižší fluktuace zaměstnanců. Pro měření používám kvalitativní i kvantitativní postupy, konkrétně dotazník emoční inteligence a osobní rozhovor. V závěru práce dokládám studie, které potvrdily vliv emoční inteligence lídrů na fluktuaci zaměstnanců.

Abstract:

This thesis addresses the importance of emotional intelligence in leadership. It focuses on the connections amongst emotional intelligence, motives and effective leadership. Specifically, how emotionally intelligent leaders create a better working environment which results in lower turnover and higher levels of satisfaction amongst employees. I focus on the aspects of emotional intelligence which have the biggest impact on leadership success. In the theoretical part of this thesis I use a qualitative and quantitative approach including the use of an emotional intelligence survey and interviews. In the practical part of the paper, I confirm that leaders with higher levels of emotional intelligence create value for their companies by reducing employee turnover. In conclusion suggest using tools and methodologies to increase emotional intelligence in leaders and thus reduce employee turnover and increase employee engagement.
