Anotácia:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá překladem a rozborem vybraných částí románu Imani All Mine Connie Porterové, který je napsán v Afro-Americké angličtině. Cílem této práce je překlad původního textu do moravsko-slovenského nářečí českého jazyka a analyzovat jednotlivá ekvivalenční hlediska. Hlavním záměrem práce je také prozkoumat, zda existují jiné možnosti překladu nestandardního jazyka, než dnes tolik používaná obecná čeština a jestli tomuto účelu může posloužit místní nářečí. Diplomová práce je rozdělena na dvě hlavní části – praktickou a teoretickou. Praktická část představuje překlad vybraných částí románu. Je uspořádána do dvou sloupců. Levý sloupec poskytuje původní text v Afro-Americké angličtině, zatímco v pravém sloupci nalezneme navrhovaný překlad. Teoretická část se věnuje rozboru daného překladu. Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the translation and analysis of selected parts of the novel Imani All Mine by Connie Porter written in African-American English variety. The aim of the thesis is to translate the original text into the Moravian-Slovakian dialect of the Czech language and to analyse individual aspects of equivalence. The main goal of the thesis is also to investigate if there are different possibilities of translating a substandard language than nowadays broadly used common Czech and if to this purpose may serve a regional dialect. The thesis is divided into two main parts – practical and theoretical. The practical part presents the translation of selected parts of the novel. It has been organised into two columns. The left column provides the African-American English original text, whereas the right one the suggested translation. The theoretical part is devoted to the analysis of the proposed translation.
