Cílem práce je sledovat změny v prezentaci díla americké básnířky Emily Dickinsonové (1830-1886) tak, jak probíhaly mezi lety 1907, kdy byly publikovány první české překlady jejích básní, až do roku 2006. Práce se zaměřuje na různé faktory, které mohly ovlivňovat výběr básní překladateli, na to, do jaké míry tito představili Dickinsonovou jako velkou inovátorku v oblasti formy, i na básnířčin obraz …more
Abstract:
The aim of the thesis is to give an account of the changes of Emily Dickinson's picture in Czechoslovakia/ the Czech Republic in the course of a century, from 1907 up until 2006. Several factors influencing the translators’ selection process are covered, from the thematic criterion up to the translators' effort to define or redefine the poet's picture.
