The aim of this thesis is to compare Czech and British Christmas traditions. It starts with the historical analysis of Christmas as a festival and festive traditions, because it is the most important analysis to understand the topic properly. Cílem této práce je srovnání českých a britských vánočních tradic. Celá práce začíná rozborem historie Vánočních svátků jako takových a tradic okolo nich, neboť historie je klíčová ke správnému pochopení dané problematiky.
