Educational documentary film and inteactive narrative

Abstract:

Obsah této práce pojednává o dokumentárním filmu rozšířeném o interaktivní prvek divácké volby. Stručně shrnuji historii dokumentární tvorby i pronikání interaktivity do filmového média. Popisuji způsoby zapracování tohoto konceptu v jednotlivých přelomových dílech nedlouhé filmové historie. Práce se rovněž věnuje environmentální problematice, která je hlavním obsahovým tématem předkládaného dokumentu. Stručně a přehledně popisuji současnou situaci v oblasti nakládání s odpady a také shrnuji možnosti nakládání s plastovým odpadem typu PET. Praktická část této práce má podobu audiovizuálního díla, jež zachycuje hlavní a nejpravděpodobnější možnosti nakládání s PET láhvemi. Dokument pojednává a životním cyklu PET láhve od jejího vzniku a vždy v zásadních okamžicích cesty PET láhve systémem je divákovi nabídnuta možnost volby. V práci je také zaznamenán postup přípravy natáčení i samotné realizace výsledného mediálního produktu.

Abstract:

This work deals with the documentary movie enriched with the interactive element of viewer’s choice. I briefly summarize the history of the documentary production as well as the penetration of interactivity into the motion picture media. I describe the ways in which this concept is worked in on the examples of the individual turning-point pictures of the fairly short movie history. The work is also aimed at the environmental issues that form the main thematic basis of the submitted documentary. In a brief and clear way I give picture of the contemporary situation of dealing with garbage and I also summarize the possibilities of dealing with the plastic garbage of the PET type. The practical part of this work has the form of an audiovisual picture that depicts the main and most probable way of dealing with PET bottles. The documentary depicts the life cycle of a PET bottle from its creation and in all key moments of the PET bottle’s life in the system is the viewer offered with a choice. The work also shows the process of the preparation of filming and the realization of the final media product itself.
