The visible women: the feminization of french language

Abstract:

Diploma thesis « Les femmes visibles » : la féminisation de la langue française („Visible women“: the feminization of French language) deals with the process of feminization of French. It accentuates the symbolic role of language in society and demonstrates the consequences of gender insensitivity in French (generic masculine, invisibilization, and marginalization of women etc.). In the context of linguistic formation of feminine, the diploma thesis presents the basic premises of feminization. These are the starting points for formulation of didactic sheets in practical part of the thesis. They contain the exercises of the level A1-B2 of CECR and focus on the formation of feminine in French language in general and the issue of feminization of language as one of the possible topic in the lessons of FLE. The diploma thesis is written in French.

Abstract:

Diplomová práce « Les femmes visibles » : la féminisation de la langue française („Viditelné ženy“: feminizace francouzského jazyka) pojednává o procesu feminizace francouzštiny. Klade důraz nejen na symbolickou roli jazyka ve společnosti a ukazuje konsekvence genderové nekorektnosti ve francouzštině (nadužívání generického maskulina, zneviditelňování a marginalizace žen atd.). V kontextu lingvistického procesu tvoření ženského rodu jsou následně představeny základní premisy feminizace. Tato východiska jsou následně využita v praktické části při formulování didaktických listů. Ty jsou určené pro pokročilosti A1-B2 CECR a přibližují studujícím nejen tvoření ženského rodu ve francouzštině obecně, ale také tematiku feminizace jazyka jakožto jedno z možných témat ve výuce FLE. Práce je psaná ve francouzštině.
