Identification of the key factors of financial performance of the selected company in the road haulage sector

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce je za pomoci metod finanční analýzy definování faktorů, které mají v období let 2008–2017 klíčový vliv na finanční výkonnost společnosti Bodos Czechia a. s. podnikající v nákladní dopravě, jež představuje významnou podnikatelskou sféru nejen v rámci české ekonomiky. Práce se člení na tři části – dvě oblasti literárních přehledů zaměřující se v prvé řadě na výkonnost podniku a metody jejího měření a dále pak zaměřující se na finanční analýzu a její metody. Empirickou část tvoří aplikace metod finanční analýzy definovaných v literárním přehledu na účetní data společnosti Bodos Czechia a. s. Z dosažených výsledků finanční analýzy jsou v rámci Diskuze definovány klíčové faktory ovlivňující finanční výkonnost podniku a zároveň navržená doporučení pro zlepšení negativních vlivů identifikovaných faktorů.

Abstract:

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to use the methods of financial analysis to define factors, which in the period 2008-2017 have a key impact on the financial performance of Bodos Czechia a. s. which engaged in freight transport which represents a significant business sphere not only within the Czech economy. The thesis is divided into three parts - two parts of literary surveys focusing primarily on company performance and measurement methods, and then on financial analysis and its methods. The empirical part consists of the application of financial analysis methods defined in the literature to the accounting data of Bodos Czechia a. s. The results of the financial analysis are defined in the Discussion as key factors influencing the financial performance of the company and proposed recommendations for improvement of the negative effects of the identified factors.
