Abstract:

Cílem této práce je pokus o deskripci volební podpory KSČM v parlamentních volbách, které proběhly v porevoluční době. Práce se zaměřuje na vývoj této podpory, její regionální variabilitu, zvláštní důraz je kladen na geografické rozložení elektorátu KSČM a jeho demografické charakteristiky. Prospěšnost analýzy spatřuji v přehledné deskripci těch oblastí naší republiky, kde je velmi silná podpora KSČM, stejně jako v analýze těch faktorů, které vedou voliče KSČM právě k podpoře této strany. Pro každé parlamentní volby od roku 1992 je určeno 10 okresů, ve kterých získala KSČM nejvíce hlasů a současně 10 okresů, ve kterých byla naopak nejméně voličsky úspěšná. Následně analyzuji demografická data a územně sociální charakteristiky jednotlivých okresů a snažím se identifikovat a definovat ty rysy či znaky, kterými se vyznačuje a odlišuje elektorát v okresech s nejvyšší voličskou podporou KSČM od elektorátu v okresech s podporou nejnižší. Hlavními sledovanými územně sociálními charakteristikami jsou poloha a velikost okresu, jeho infrastruktura, přírodní podmínky a kvalita životního prostředí a s ní spojený stupeň industrializace, typ sídel a hustota osídlení. Za stěžejní demografická kritéria, která sleduji, jsem zvolila převažující pohlaví, věk, stupeň dosaženého vzdělání, typ zaměstnání, výši nezaměstnanosti a náboženské přesvědčení obyvatel okresu. Z ekonomických charakteristik se zaměřím na procento nezaměstnanosti, výši hrubého příjmu na osobu a výši HDP na kraj (v porovnání s výší celorepublikového HDP), v němž se konkrétní okres nalézá. Hlavními mými zdroji dat budou údaje Českého statistického úřadu ze Sčítání lidu, bytů a domů v roce 2001.

Abstract:

This study aims at describing the electoral results of the KSCM party in parliamentary elections after the fall of communism. Our work focuses on the evolutions of these results and their regional disparities. A special emphasis is put on the geographical location of KCSM voters and on demographical facts about them. The point of our analysis lies in the comprehensive description it gives of these regions of the Czech Republic, in which the KSCM support is very strong, and in the analysis of the factors leading KSCM voters to support that party. Ten districts are chosen for each parliamentary election after 1992, in which the KSCM reached its greatest scores, and simultaneously ten districts in which it was the least successful. Then I analyze demographical facts as well as social and geographical characteristics of every single district, and I try to identify and define the marks or signs which distinguish voters in the districts with the highest KSCM support from their counterparts in the districts with the lowest support. The key demographical criteria I have chosen are mainly the gender, the age, the level of education, the employment type, and religious beliefs of the district's inhabitants. As of economical characteristics, I focus on the unemployment rate, the gross wage per capita, and the GDP of the region in which the given district is located (in comparison to the whole-state GDP). My main source are the statistical facts of the Czech national statistical institute on demography and housing in 2001.
