Qualification and education of the teaching staff at children´s homes

Abstract:

Anotace Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou kvalifikovanosti a vzdělávání pedagogických pracovníků v dětských domovech. Práce je složena ze dvou hlavních částí - teoretickou a praktickou. Teoretická část obsahuje sedm kapitol, které definují základní pojmy a souvislosti týkající se pedagogických pracovníků. Dále se věnuje profesi vychovatele v dětském domově a motivaci pedagogických pracovníků pro práci v tomto prostředí. Tato část také zkoumá motivátory a demotivátory, odměny a sankce, se kterými se může pedagogický pracovník setkat. Poslední kapitola v teoretické části se zabývá stresem a syndromem vyhoření, který může postihnout každého vychovatele nebo pedagogického pracovníka. Tato práce je důležitým příspěvkem k porozumění procesu a výzev, kterým čelí pedagogičtí pracovníci v dětských domovech. V praktické části je podrobně popsána metodologie výzkumu, která zahrnuje kvantitativní metody pro sběr a analýzu dat. Data byla shromážděna pomocí dotazníku, který byl přeposlán mezi vychovatele v dětských domovech v Libereckém a Ústeckém kraji. Dotazník byl vytvořen pomocí aplikace Google Formuláře a poté byl elektronicky rozeslán ředitelům dětských domovů jako anonymní odkaz. Sběr dat proběhl od 6. července do 3. září 2023. V závěru praktické části jsou prezentovány výsledky výzkumu, které jsou interpretovány a diskutovány v souvislosti s teoretickými základy.

Abstract:

Abstract This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of qualification and education of pedagogical staff in children's homes. The thesis consists of two main parts-theoretical and practical. The theoretical part contains seven chapters that define the basic concepts and contexts related to pedagogical workers. It also focuses on the profession of the educator in a children's home and the motivation of educational workers to work in this environment. This section also examines the motivators and demotivators, rewards and sanctions that an educational worker may encounter. The last chapter in the theoretical part deals with stress and burnout syndrome that can affect any educator or educational worker. This thesis is an important contribution to understanding the process and challenges faced by education workers in children's homes. In the practical part, the research methodology is described in detail, which includes quantitative-active methods for data collection and analysis. Data was collected using a questionnaire that was forwarded to educators in children's homes in the Liberec and Ústí regions. The questionnaire was created using the Google Forms application and then sent electronically to the directors of the orphanages as an anonymous link. Data collection took place from 6 July to 3 September 2023. At the end of the practical part, the research results are presented and interpreted and discussed in relation to the theoretical foundations
