Významnou součástí správy počítačových sítí je jejich monitorování, jež zajišťuje zvyšování bezpečnosti. Z důvodu téměř exponenciálně rostoucí rychlosti počítačových sítí dochází ke stupňování nároků na výkon nástrojů pro zpracování síťových dat. The network traffic monitoring is an essential part of the management of computer networks. As the speed of computer networks increases almost exponentially, the demands on the performance of tools processing the network data get higher.
