Evaluation of the development of the use of indoor plants in a selected building with cultural and historical value

Abstract:

Literární rešerše práce ve vazbě na praktickou část práce pojednává nejen o historickém vývoji použití interiérových rostlin, ale i historii zimních zahrad. Pozornost je věnována obnově historických interiérů vzhledem k památkové péči. Dále se práce zabývá základními životními nároky rostlin v interiéru, péčí o ně, včetně problematiky substrátů. Předmětem praktické části diplomové práce „Zhodnocení vývoje použití interiérových rostlin ve vybraném objektu s kulturně-historickou hodnotou“ je modelový objekt vila Tugendhat. Čtenář se seznámí se samotnou vilou a její historií. Pozornost práce je především soustředěna na prostor zimní zahrady. Ta je součástí hlavního obytného prostoru vily a představuje jeden ze základních prvků, díky kterému se zdařilo propojení interiéru a exteriéru. Vlivem změn ve využívání vily, ale také změn, které podmiňovaly tehdejší podmínky pro pěstování rostlin, je zimní zahrada aktuálně nepříliš příznivým prostorem pro původní, dobový sortiment. Hlavním problémem je přehřívání prostoru. Autorka se v práci snaží najít možné způsoby řešení tohoto problému. Navrhuje tři hypotetické varianty, jak je možné k problému přistupovat. K tomu získala potřebné informace jednak z literatury, ale i dobových fotografií, terénních průzkumů a rozhovorů. Důležitým materiálem se staly nabídky a možnosti aktuálně působících firem na českém trhu, které se věnují problematice přehřívání prostorů. Práce je dále zaměřena na sortimenty interiérových květin pro dobové teplé pokoje. Autorka prostudovala několik dobových literárních zdrojů, kde se věnovala tehdy dostupnému sortimentu pro kategorii teplých pokojů s teplotou +12 °C a více. Výsledkem je přehled dobového sortimentu, který by mohl být nápomocným materiálem pro autentickou obnovu obdobného typu interiéru předmětného období. V dobové literatuře byla pozornost věnována také doporučovaným pěstebním substrátům pro předmětné rody rostlin. V návaznosti na dobové substráty byla zhodnocena nabídka dostupných substrátů v současné době na území ČR. Výsledkem práce jsou tři varianty hypoteticky možných řešení. První řešení navrací podobu, ale i původní faktory ovlivňující rostliny v zimní zahradě do původního stavu. Druhé řešení spočívá ve využití technických prostředků současné doby pro úpravu podmínek. V této variantě zůstává část sortimentu původního a část je zaměněna za taxony odolnější. Třetí řešení navrhuje nový, odolnější rostlinný sortiment, který byl vybírán ze současné nabídky trhu a akceptuje aktuální podmínky zimní zahrady.

Abstract:

The literature search of the thesis in connection with the practical part of the thesis deals not only with the historical development of the use of indoor plants, but also with the history of conservatories. Attention is paid to the restoration of historic interiors due to the preservation of monuments. Furthermore, the work deals with the basic living requirements of plants in the interior, care for them, including the issue of substrates. The subject of the practical part of the diploma thesis "Evaluation of the development of the use of indoor plants in a selected building with cultural and historical value" is the model building Villa Tugendhat. The reader get acquainted with the villa itself and its history. The attention of the work is mainly focused on the area of the winter garden. It is part of the main living space of the villa and represents one of the basic elements that made it possible to connect the interior and exterior. Due to the changes in the use of the villa, but also the changes that conditioned the conditions for growing plants at the time, the winter garden is currently not a very favorable space for the original, period assortment. The main problem is overheating of the space. The author tries to find possible ways to solve this problem. He proposes three hypothetical variants of how to approach the problem. To do this, he obtained the necessary information from the literature, as well as period photographs, field surveys and interviews. The offers and possibilities of currently operating companies on the Czech market, which deal with the issue of space overheating, have become important material. The work is further focused on an assortment of interior flowers for period warm rooms. The author studied several periods of literary sources, where she focused on the range available at the time for the category of warm rooms with more +12 ° C and more. is an overview of the historical assortment, which could be a useful material for the authentic restoration of a similar type of interior of the period in question. In the period literature, attention was also paid to the recommended growing substrates for the plant genera in question. Following the period substrates, the offer of available substrates currently in the Czech Republic was evaluated. Thesis are three variants of hypothetically possible solutions. The first solution restores the form, but also the original factors influencing the plants in the winter garden to their original state. The second solution is to use the technical means of the present to adjust the conditions. In this variant, part of the original range remains and part is replaced by more resistant taxa. The third solution proposes a new, more durable plant assortment, which was selected from the current market offer and accepts the current conditions of the winter garden.
