Comparison of approaches to reserve forces in selected NATO-countries

Anotace:

Tato práce se bude zaobírat problematikou rezervních sil vybraných států Severoatlantické aliance. V jejím obsahu bude popsán historický vznik záložních komponentů ozbrojených sil, jejich současný stav a problémy, kterým musí jejich příslušníci čelit. Poté bude naznačen směr vývoje koncepcí a strategií, které mají tyto síly do budoucna formovat. Z pohledu konceptu „total force“ bude práce uzavřena komparací těchto složek a výhody a nevýhodami odlišných přístupů k této tématice.

Abstract:

The focus of this thesis will be on comparison of reserve forces among the selected members of NATO. It should give the reader an insight into the historic evolution of these units, their current status and the problems and challenges, their members have to face. Afterwards the reader will get familiar with the possible future that is being planned for these types of units. Lastly there will be a comparison among these states with possible pros and cons to the type of reserve structure they chose from a point of view of the “total force” concept.
