Possibilities of economization of graduates of art schools in the field of fashion design in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na možnosti uplatnění absolventů vysokých uměleckých škol v oboru módní tvorba v ČR. Práce se především soustřeďuje na charakteristiky začínajícího módního návrháře a jeho potřeby pro uplatnění. Práce cílí na pohled zúčastněných v oboru tak, aby měla reálný přínos pro absolventy vysokých uměleckých škol v oboru módní tvorba a zprostředkovala jim užitečné poznatky pro vytvoření fungujícího pracovního prostředí. Teoretická část se obecně zaměřuje na fungování módního odvětví. V praktické části byl využit kvalitativní výzkum založený na polostrukturovaných rozhovorech s absolventy vysokých uměleckých škol v oboru módní tvorba. Pohled českých absolventů je doplněn i zkušenostmi zahraničních absolventů a Ing. Kláry Haunerové, jejíž znalosti jsou považovány za přínosné z titulu toho, že se uplatnitelnosti módních návrhářů věnuje. Na základě získaných poznatků je vyhodnocena současná situace na trhu pro začínající módní návrháře. V závěru práce jsou navrhnuta možná řešení pro zlepšení současné situace.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis focuses on the possibilities of employment of graduates of art colleges in the field of fashion design in the Czech Republic. The thesis mainly focuses on the characteristics of the aspiring fashion designer and their needs for employment. The thesis aims at the perspective of those involved in the field so as to make a real contribution to the graduates of art colleges in the field of fashion design and to convey useful insights to create a workable working environment. The theoretical part focuses on the functioning of the fashion industry in general. The practical part used qualitative research based on semi-structured interviews with graduates of art colleges in fashion design. The perspective of Czech graduates is complemented by the experiences of foreign graduates and Ing. Klára Haunerová, whose knowledge is considered beneficial due to the fact that she is dedicated to the employability of fashion designers. On the basis of the knowledge gained, the current market situation for aspiring fashion designers is evaluated. The thesis concludes by suggesting possible solutions to improve the current situation.
