Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá výpůjčkami z angličtiny a francouzštiny. Cílem práce je především zmapovat jejich slovní zásoby a zjistit etymologický původ a možný transfer vybraných výpůjček. V první části je stručně popsán vývoj angličtiny. Je zde ukázáno, jakým způsobem měla vliv na tento vývoj právě francouzština. Druhá část pokračuje vývojem francouzštiny.
