Obama Administration’s policy towards China – attitudes before and during the presidential elections and the reality of the first year in the office

Anotace:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá srovnáním postojů a prohlášení relevantních aktérů během volební kampaně v roce 2008 s výslednou zahraniční politikou Obamovy administrativy vůči Číně během prvního funkčního roku administrativy. Cílem práce je zjistit, zda byla tato výsledná politika vůči Číně taková, jaká byla navrhována během kampaně.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis compares the attitudes and the declarations of relevant actors during the US presidential election campaign in 2008 with the actual foreign policy towards China practiced by the Obama administration during the first year in the office. Aim of this thesis is to determine whether this actual foreign policy towards China was the same as it was proposed during the election campaign.
