Violent offences in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Práce přibližuje lidskou přirozenost a její souvislosti s násilím, dále charakteristiky a motivaci pachatele trestného činu, rozebírá příčiny a podmínky pro vznik násilných trestných činů, popisuje důsledky násilného činu pro pachatele, způsoby jeho trestání včetně alternativních trestů a znovuzačlenění pachatele do společnosti. V práci jsou dále popsány jednotlivé formy prevence kriminality. Aplikační část se zabývá důkladným popisem jednotlivých forem násilných trestných činů v každém z českých okresů za poslední čtyři roky. Dále je v práci, pro lepší orientaci, uvedeno srovnání České republiky se sousedními státy.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis explains human nature and its connection with violence and describes the characteristics and motivation of an offender. It further deals with the causes of violent offences and the circumstances contributing to the origin of violent offences, it conveys the impacts on the offender, the ways of punishment including alternative methods and the social reintegration of ex-offenders. The thesis also outlines specific methods of violent crime prevention. The analytical part contains an in-depth description of specific categories of violent crimes for each of the Czech Republic regions in the last four years. As a clarification, the thesis includes a comparison of the Czech Republic with the neighboring countries.
