Teaching Upper Paleolithic, Mesolithic and Neolithic subjects in secondary schools

Abstract:

Hlavním cílem bakalářské práce je zjistit postoj vyučujících k tématům mladého paleolitu, mezolitu a neolitu ve výuce Biologie a Dějepisu na středních školách. Teoretická část se zaměřuje na vhled do problematiky témat mladý paleolit, mezolit a neolit. V praktické části byla data zpracována pomocí webové online stránky Survio.com pro tvorbu dotazníků a zabývá se postoji pedagogů k současné výuce mladého paleolitu, mezolitu a neolitu v rámci předmětu Dějepis a evolucí člověka (antropogenezí) a jejím prolínáním s mladým paleolitem, mezolitem a neolitem v rámci předmětu Biologie. V této části jsou porovnávány výukové materiály, časová dotace předmětů Biologie a Dějepis na danou problematiku a dále formy a metody výuky, které pedagogové uvedli. Provedeného průzkumu se celkem zúčastnilo 23 pedagogů Moravskoslezského a Zlínského kraje, z toho bylo 11 pedagogů vyučujících předmět Biologie a 12 pedagogů vyučujících předmět Dějepis. V předmětu Biologie se evoluci člověka a jejího prolínání s mladým paleolitem, mezolitem a neolitem pedagogové věnují od 1 do 5 a více vyučovacích hodin s nejčastějším uvedeným počtem 2 nebo 4 hodiny. 27 % pedagogů vyučující Biologii využívá učebnici, kterou je publikace Biologie pro gymnázia od autorů Jelínek J. ? Zicháček V. z roku 2006. 82 % pedagogů využívá další výukové aktivity, z nichž nejvyužívanější jsou exkurze. 18 % pedagogů využívá možnosti projektových dnů v souladu s mezipředmětovými vztahy. V předmětu Dějepis se pedagogové tématu mladého paleolitu, mezolitu a neolitu věnují od 1 do 5 a více vyučovacích hodin s nejčastějším uvedeným počtem 3 hodiny. 58 % pedagogů využívá učebnici Dějepis pro gymnázia a střední školy 1: Pravěk a starověk od autorů Popelka M. - Válková V. z roku 2008. Další výukové aktivity využívá 83 % pedagogů, nejvíce zastoupené byly exkurze. Projektové dny v souladu s mezipředmětovými vztahy využívá 50 % pedagogů.

Abstract:

The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to find out the attitudes of the teachers to the topics of the Upper Paleolithic, Mesolithic and Neolithic in the teaching of Biology and History at secondary schools. The theoretical part focuses on the insight into the issues of the Upper Paleolithic, Mesolithic and Neolithic. In the practical part, the data were processed using the web-based Survio.com web site for questionnaires and it deals with the attitudes of teachers to the contemporary teaching of the Upper Paleolithic, Mesolithic and Neolithic within the subject History and Human Evolution (anthropogenesis) and its blending with the Upper Paleolithic, Mesolithic and Neolithic in Biology. In this part are compared teaching materials, time granting of subjects Biology and History to the given issue and also the forms and methods of teaching, which teachers stated. A total of 23 teachers from the Moravskoslezský and Zlínský Regions took part in the survey, of which 11 were teachers teaching Biology and 12 teachers teaching History. In the subject Biology, the evolution of man and its interpenetration with Upper Paleolithic, Mesolithic and Neolithic pedagogues devote from 1 to 5 and more lessons with the most frequent number of 2 or 4 hours. 27% of Biology teachers use a textbook Biologie pro střední školy by Jelínek J. - Zicháček V., 2006. 82% of teachers use other teaching activities, of which the most used are excursions. 18% of teachers use project day options in accordance with cross-curricular relationships. In the course History, the teachers of the theme of the Upper Paleolithic, Mesolithic and Neolithic devote from 1 to 5 and more lessons with the most frequently mentioned number of 3 hours. 58% of pedagogues use the textbook Dějepis pro gymnázia a střední školy 1: Pravěk a starověk by the authors Popelka M. - Válková V. from 2008. Other teaching activities are used by 83% of the most represented teachers. 50% of teachers use project days in line with cross-curricular relationships.
