Psychodiagnosis of the worker as part of the selection process

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá využitím psychodiagnostiky v rámci výběrového procesu zaměstnance. Hlavním cílem je analýza využití psychodiagnostiky pro zvýšení efektivnosti výběrového procesu, konkrétně za využití osobnostního dotazníku Predictive Index. Přínosem práce je inspirace firem, jak aplikovat Predictive Index do praxe a jaká pozitiva jim tato implementace může přinést v rámci zefektivnění výběrového procesu pracovníka. Práce je rozdělena na dvě hlavní části, teoretickou a praktickou. Na začátku teoretické části se práce věnuje obecným poznatkům o osobnosti a jejím vymezení. Další část je poté zaměřena na část týkající se právě získávání a výběru pracovníků. Třetí část se věnuje psychologii osobnosti a pomocí jakých metod ji lze zkoumat. Předposlední a poslední část je zaměřena na samotnou psychodiagnostiku a s jakými konkrétními formami se dnes můžeme setkat, největší část je pak věnována osobnostnímu dotazníku Predictive Index, kde je zaměření na teorii, ale také na reálné příklady z praxe, které jsou využity pro komparaci výsledků v závěrečné části práce. Praktická část vychází z rozhovorů s HR konzultantem a poskytnutých interních dokumentů. Závěry práce a vlastní doporučení vychází na základě získaných teoretických poznatků a z výsledků praktické části. Tato doporučení by mohla být využita pro další zkoumání a využití psychodiagnostiky v rámci výběrového procesu pracovníka.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the use of psychodiagnostics in the employee selection process. The main objective is to analyze the use of psychodiagnostics to increase the efficiency of the selection process, specifically using the Predictive Index personality questionnaire. The contribution of the thesis is to inspire companies how to apply the Predictive Index in practice and what positive benefits this implementation can bring them in terms of making the employee selection process more efficient. The thesis is divided into two main parts, theoretical and practical. At the beginning of the theoretical part the thesis deals with general knowledge about personality and its definition. The next part is then focused on the part related specifically to the recruitment and selection of workers. The third part deals with the psychology of personality and what methods can be used to study it. The penultimate and last part focuses on psychodiagnostics itself and what specific forms we can encounter today, the largest part is then dedicated to the Predictive Index personality questionnaire, where the focus is on theory but also on real-life examples that are used to compare the results in the final part of the thesis. The practical part is based on interviews with the HR consultant and internal documents provided. The conclusions of the thesis and own recommendations are based on the theoretical knowledge gained and the results of the practical part. These recommendations could be used for further research and use of psychodiagnostics in the employee selection process.
