This bachelor thesis deals with the translation of selected parts of The Tragedy of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark, namely of archaic and obsolete words, to a contemporary Czech language. The first part is theoretical which consists of the theory of translation and the history and changes in the language during the Early Modern English era.
