Abstract:

Cílem práce je zmapovat přední vrstvu rakovnických měšťanů počátku 17. století, jejich podílení na městské samosprávě, jejich vzájemné vztahy, majetkové, hospodářské a náboženské poměry, jejich projevování v městské kultuře. Zabývá se dobou těsně před vypuknutím třicetileté války, která vývoj města změnila. Zachycuje rovněž osudy předních rakovnických rodin, které se nejvíce podílely na správě města, a na příkladech ukazuje, proč právě je můžeme vnímat jako elitu.

Abstract:

The target of this thesis is to map the prominent class of citizens of Rakovník during the beginning of the 17th century, their part in the town administration, their mutual relationships, the situation of their property, economy and religion, their part in the town culture. The thesis is concerned about the time just before the Thirty Years' War, which has changed the evolution of the town. The thesis also captures the fates of a few of the prominent families in Rakovník, that part took the most in the town administration, and shows in examples, why we can perceive exactly them as the town elite.
