Urban musical styles and influence on the social image of women. A case study: Mala Rodríguez

Abstract:

This thesis deals with urban musical styles. Its purpose is to create a glossary of linguistically interesting words included in songs by a singer Mala Rodíguez, and find out which devices are used the most and what is the image of a woman in these songs. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part discusses the theory of communication and language, division and characteristics of urban musical styles, woman stereotypes connected with these styles, rhetoric figures appearing there, Spanish language and the Andalusian dialect, and finally, the linguistic issues we come across during the analysis of the songs. The practical part is dedicated to the glossary which is compiled from words and figures of speech included in the songs of the singer, and then to creation of graphs. Ten songs are examined in detail; their meaning, the image of woman, rhetoric figures and Andalusian dialect are analysed.

Abstract:

V této bakalářské práci se zabýváme městskými hudebními styly. Jejím cílem je sestavit glosář z lingvisticky zajímavých slov nacházejících se v písních zpěvačky Mala Rodríguez a zjistit tak, jaké prostředky jsou nejvíce používány a jaký je obraz ženy v těchto písních. Práce se skládá z teoretické a praktické části. Teoretická část pojednává o teorii komunikace a jazyka, rozdělení a charakteristikách městských hudebních stylů, stereotypech ženy spojené s těmito hudebními styly, rétorickými figurami objevujícími se v již zmíněných stylech, španělštinou a andaluským dialektem, a nakonec lingvistických záležitostech, které najdeme v rozboru písní. Praktická část se věnuje glosáři, který je sestaven ze slov a slovních obratů nacházejících se v písních od zmíněné zpěvačky, a dále tvorbě grafů. Deset písní je rozebíráno podrobněji, je analyzován jejich význam, obraz ženy, rétorické figury a andaluský dialekt.
