Extremist tendency of football supporters

Abstract:

Autor bakalářské práce reflektuje extremistické projevy, zejména rizikových skupin příznivců fotbalových klubů (jako jsou násilí spojené s fotbalem, projevy rasismu, xenofobie, antisemitismu, užívání extremistické symboliky). Bakalářská práce je strukturována do dvou částí. Teoretická část obsahuje pokus o zachycení, nesnadno uchopitelného jevu extremismu v současném společenském kontextu. Jak je ve společenskovědních disciplínách zvykem, panuje zde také značná nejednotnost definic a pojmů. Rovněž je stručně zmíněna užívaná závadná extremistická symbolika. Autor se zabývá historií a původem rizikových skupin příznivců fotbalových klubů. Vymezuje marginální skupiny agresivních příznivců hooligans a ultras. Přibližuje současnou situaci v České republice, týkající se problematiky nežádoucích projevů spojených s fotbalem. Dále autor odhaduje možný vývoj této problematiky. Praktická část je tvořena případovou studií, jako metodou kvalitativního výzkumu. Pro sběr dat autor užil rozhovoru s bývalým členem hooligans skupiny Baníku Ostrava. Pro lepší strukturovanost byly ze získaných dat sestaveny anamnézy (rodinná, profesní, osobní, partnerských vztahů). Cílem výzkumu si autor zvolil: jaké jsou rozhodující faktory a situace, jenž vedly sledovaného k členství v hooligans? Do jaké míry lze aplikovat některý z konstruktů možných příčin právě na tento případ? Do jaké míry ovlivnilo členství v hooligans partnerský život a profesní kariéru? Co zapříčinilo posun od příznivců hooligans k tzv. mainstreamu?

Abstract:

The Author of this bachelor thesis reflects extremist tendencies of football supporters (as are football violence, expressions of racism, xenophobia, antisemitism, the use of extremist symbols). This bachelor thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part, tries to define extremism in a social context. The phenomenon of extremism is without clear borders, so as usual in social sciences there is no unity concerning defintions and conceptions. The author mentions some of the used extremist symbols. Another topic is the history and origin of football violence, and groups of people oriented to ?supporting? their favourite football club. Autor mention about agresive and active football supporters as are hooligans and ultras. The other topic coverages of some possibly reason of operation high-risk football supporters. The author outlines the situation of the problem of undesirable expressions linked to football, in the Czech Republic and anticipates the possible progress this phenomenon in the future. In the practical part, the author uses a case study for his qualitative research. The data for this research was collected by interviewinq a man, who is a former member of, the aggressive supporters of Baník Ostrava. The obtained data was arranged into anamneses (family, profession, personal, partner live). The aim of this research is to discovered: why the observed man entered the group of aggressive football supporters Which of, the described constructs can be applies to the observed case? How did membership of, football hooliganism affect his professional career and private live? What was the cause of the shift from hooliganism to become a mainstreem supporter?
