This bachelor thesis focuses on the selected aspects of life of women in Tudor England. These aspects are reflected in the historical novel Wolf Hall written by the English writer Hilary Mantel. The attention is focused on such elements as the role of a woman in the sixteenth century, possible education of a woman, marriage and its circumstances, childbirth and the possibility to divorce.
