Forms of government in the modern state - comparative analysis

Abstract:

Obsahem této bakalářské práce je vymezení pojmu moderní stát, který se stal klíčovým pro moderní demokratické formy vlády. V první části své práce jsem se snažila o definování těchto forem vlád v jejich čisté formě. Důležité pro mě bylo, jak postaveni parlamentu, tak vlády a v neposlední řadě také postavení hlavy státu. V druhé části jsem se zabývala přímo státy, které tyto jednotlivé formy vlády uplatňují a kde fungují. Výběrem Spojeného království Velké Británie a Severního Irska jsem chtěla poukázat na to, že i monarchie může být moderním státem, pokud uplatňuje demokratickou formu vlády. Závěrem jsem se zabývala porovnáváním jednotlivých vládních systémů, v čem se liší a v čem se naopak shodují.

Abstract:

The content of this bachelor´s work is the definition of the modern state which became important for modern democratic forms of government. In the first part of my work I have tried to define these forms of governments in their pure form. The important thing for me was role of Parliament, government and head of state too. In the second part I elaborated where these various forms of government exist and where do they work. I chose the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland because I wanted to point out that even the monarchy can be a modern state when applies a democratic form of government. Finally, I have compared different systems of governments, with focus on what is different and what is the same.
