Multigenerational Families Caring for Seniors in Jesenik

Abstract:

Diplomová práce s názvem Vícegenerační rodiny pečující o seniory na Jesenicku je zaměřena na otázku rodinného soužití jednotlivých generací a vzájemné spolupráce při péči o starého člověka. Vymezuje základní pojmy vztahující se k tématu rodiny, vícegenerační rodiny, jejich vztahů a jednotlivých rolí pečujících osob. Popisuje pomoc státu při péči o seniora, vymezuje potřeby seniorů, principy komunikace a v neposlední řadě popisuje onemocnění ve stáří, které ovlivňuje život lidí ve vyšším věku a fungování celé rodiny. Druhá část se zaměřuje na kvalitativní výzkumné šetření v podobě individuální případové studie ve čtyřech rodinách. Hlavním cílem autorky je analyzovat každodennost v soužití vícegeneračních rodin s ohledem na jednotlivé role pečujících, vzájemné vztahy členů domácností, jejich vzájemnou spolupráci a komunikaci při péči o starého člověka.

Abstract:

The thesis called Multigenerational families caring for seniors in Jesenik is focused on family coexistence of individual generations and cooperation in the care of the senior. It defines basic concepts related to the topic of family, multigenerational families, their relationships and individual roles of carers. Thesis describes state assistance in caring for the senior, defines the needs of seniors, the principles of communication in the care of seniors and finally describes diseases in old age, which affect the life of seniors and the functioning of the whole family. The second part focuses on qualitative research in the form of an individual case study in four families. The main aim of the author is to analyse everyday coexistence in multigenerational families with respect to the individual roles of carers, mutual relations of household members, their cooperation and communication in the care of the senior.
