The concept of active aging as a tool for social services

Abstract:

Tématem bakalářské práce je koncept aktivního stárnutí jako nástroj sociálních služeb. Cílem práce je analýza procesu poskytování aktivizačních činností v rámci pobytové sociální služby pro seniory, které svou povahou přispívají k aktivnímu stárnutí osob žijících v tomto zařízení. Teoretická část práce je zaměřena na popis souvisejících pojmů v oblasti sociální práce a sociálních služeb pro seniory, stárnutí a stáří, aktivního stárnutí a aktivizace v pobytových sociálních službách. Aplikační část je zpracována jako analýza problému z praxe a ukazuje prostřednictvím kazuistiky realizaci aktivit spadající do konceptu aktivního stárnutí v Centru sociálních služeb Domus v Ostravě. V úvodu aplikační části je představeno zařízení Centrum sociálních služeb Domus, následuje popis realizace aktivizačních činností, konkrétních aktivizačních technik a popis zapojování klienta do aktivizačních činností. Závěrečná část práce pak obsahuje vyhodnocení zjištěných poznatků z šetření.

Abstract:

The main topic of this bachelor thesis is the Concept of active ageing as a tool for social services. The aim of the work is to analyze the process of providing activation activities within the residental social service for seniors, which by their nature contribute to the active ageing of people living in this facility. The theoretical part of the work is focused on the description of related concepts in the field of social work and social services for the elderly, aging and old age, active ageing and activation in residental social services. The application part is processed as an analysis of the problem from practice and shows through the case studies the implementation of activities including the concept of active ageing in the Social Services Center Domus in Ostrava. In the introduction of the application part is introduced the facility, the Social Services Center Domus, followed by a description of the implementation of activation acitivites, specific activation techniques and a description of the client's involvement in activation activities. The final part of the work contains an evaluation of the findings from the survey.
