Jewish Protection Magic - Amulets
Abstract:
Bakalářská práce zabývající se studiem dvou konkrétních židovských amuletů nalezených v Bratislavských archívech doplněná o kapitoly týkající se židovské magie a židovských amuletů obecně. Cílem práce je analyzovat tyto dva amulety, určit přibližně čas a místo původu a určit, které tradice a směry v oblasti magie, folklóru, či náboženství ovlivnili konečnou podobu amuletů.
Abstract:
Bachelor thesis concerning the study of two amulets found in Bratisalva archives with added chapters on Jewish magic and Jewish amulets in general. The goal of the tesis is to analyse those two amulets and specify the time and place of origin as closely as possible. Amulets are described and analysed in order to estimate the traditions and other cultural influences underlaying them.
