Abstract:

Předložená dizertační práce pojednává o vlivu seismické události na četnost výskytu havárie se ztrátou chladiva typu LB LOCA (LB - Large Break, LOCA - Loss of Coolant Accident) v primárním okruhu jaderné elektrárny Temelín (ETE). Téma práce je rozsáhlé a zasahuje do dvou oblastí, a to seismické inženýrství a bezpečnost jaderné elektrárny. Práce je členěna do tří částí. První část práce obsahuje aktuální poznatky o zemětřesení, výskytu zemětřesení v ČR, vlivu zemětřesení na jadernou elektrárnu a seismickém ohrožení lokality ETE. Poté jsou uvedeny informace o funkci a základních komponentách primárního okruhu jaderné elektrárny. Pozornost je věnována nejzranitelnější komponentě, kterou jsou potrubní systémy. Jsou zmíněny požadavky na materiálové vlastnosti, konstrukci a svary potrubí primárního okruhu jaderné elektrárny, které jsou důležité pro jejich bezpečnost. Druhá část práce obsahuje popis přístupu amerického úřadu pro jadernou energii (US NRC - United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission) k přísným požadavkům kladeným na systémy havarijního chlazení reaktoru (SAOZ) jaderných elektráren a představuje aplikaci postupu, který navrhuje US NRC pro zmírnění požadavků na systém SAOZ. Třetí část práce tvoří dvě části. V první části jsou uvedena vstupní data, popis použitých metod pro ETE a výsledky výpočtů seismického ohrožení. Je stanoveno seismické ohrožení lokality ETE, doby návratu a roční pravděpodobnosti překročení. V druhé části je pro primární okruh ETE vypočten vliv seismické události na četnost výskytu havárie se ztrátou chladiva typu LB LOCA dle postupu US NRC a je provedena analýza spolehlivosti výpočtu metodou SBRA (Simulation Based Reliability Analysis). V závěrečné kapitole jsou na základě posouzení výsledků uvedena opatření pro praxi a náměty pro pokračování výzkumu.

Abstract:

The presented thesis deals with the issue of the impact of a seismic event on the frequency of occurrence of the Large Break (LB) Loss of Coolant Accident (LOCA) in the primary circuit of the nuclear power plant (NPP) Temelin. The topic of the thesis is extensive and includes two fields - seismic engineering and nuclear power plants safety. The thesis is divided into three parts. The first part comprehends actual knowledge concerning earthquakes, occurrence of earthquakes in the Czech Republic, impacts of earthquakes on NPPs and seismic hazard of the NPP Temelin locality. Furthermore, information on function and basic components of the NPP primary circuit are presented. Particular attention is given to the most vulnerable component, which is piping. The requirements on the material properties, construction and welds important for the safety of the primary circuit piping are introduced. The second part of the thesis focuses on the description of the US NRC (United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission) approach to the strict requirements on the emergency core cooling systems (ECCS) of NPPs and presents the application of the approach suggested by US NRC to reduce requirements to ECCS. The third part of the thesis consists of two sections. In the first one, input data, description of methods used for NPP Temelin and results of seismic hazard calculations are presented. Moreover, the seismic hazard for the NPP Temelin locality, return periods and annual probabilities of exceedance are determined. In the other section, the impact of the seismic event on the frequency of occurrence of the LB LOCA are calculated for the primary circuit of NPP Temelin based on the US NRC proposed approach. The reliability of calculation is analyzed using the SBRA (Simulation Based Reliability Analysis). In the final chapter, suggestions arising from the results analysis are presented together with several ideas of future research.
