Shortcomings and positives of the South Moravian region labor mar-ket from the point of view of Ukrainian refugees

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce je formulovat doporučení pro podniky Jihomoravského kraje, které by mohly zlepšit jejich diversity management převážně v oblasti zaměstnávání ukrajinských uprchlic, které přišly do České republiky kvůli válce na Ukrajině od roku 2022. Dále budou uvedeny pozitiva a nedostatky trhu práce Jihomoravského kraje z pohledu těchto uprchlic. V literární rešerši je více přiblížen pojem diverzita, diversity management a jeho druhy. Jsou zde i uvedeny potencionální příležitosti a rizika, které se pojí se zaměstnáváním různorodé pracovní síly. V empirické části bakalářské práce jsou nejprve zanalyzovány dostupná data týkající se ukrajinských uprchlíků v České republice. Druhou část výzkumu tvoří kvalitativní analýza, která je založena na analýze polo-strukturovaných rozhovorů, které byly provedeny s ukrajinskými uprchlicemi od ledna do dubna 2024.

Abstract:

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to formulate recommendations for companies in the South Moravian Region that could improve their diversity management, mainly in the area of employing Ukrainian refugee women who came to the Czech Republic due to the war from 2022. Furthermore, the positives and shortcomings of the labor market of the South Moravian Region from the perspective of these refugees will be discussed. In the literature review, the concept of diversity, diversity management and its types are more closely outlined. Potential opportunities and risks associated with employing a diverse workforce are also listed here. In the empirical part of the bachelor thesis, the available data regarding Ukrainian refugees in the Czech Republic are first analyzed. The second part of the research consists of a qualitative analysis, which is based on the analysis of semi-structured interviews that were conducted with Ukrainian refugee women from January to April 2024.
