Práce zkoumá obraz násilí a krutosti v dílech tří autorů křesťanské latinské literatury pocházejících z 4. a počátku 5. století po Kr., která byla zvolena na základě odlišné žánrové příslušnosti: v Lactantiovu De mortibus persecutorum, Prudentiově Psychomachii a Vita Ambrosii Paulina z Milána. The thesis investigates the image of violence and cruelty in works of three authors of Christian Latin literature of the 4th and the beginning of the 5th century AD, chosen due to their belonging to different genres: De mortibus persecutorum by Lactantius, Psychomachia by Prudentius, and Vita Ambrosii by Paulinus of Milan.
