The choice of tool for user interface design appropriate for course 4IT115 Software Engineering

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na nalezení vhodného nástroje pro návrh grafického uživatelského rozhraní, který bude nejlépe odpovídat požadavkům kurzů softwarového inženýrství. Z hlediska struktury je práce rozdělena na několik částí, které odpovídají dílčím cílům práce. První část práce je zaměřena na analýzu požadavků kurzů softwarového inženýrství kladených na nástroj pro tvorbu grafického uživatelského rozhraní. Další část se zabývá stanovením kritérií pro výběr vhodných nástrojů pro návrh grafického uživatelského rozhraní a stanovení způsobu hodnocení a výběru vhodných nástrojů pro návrh grafického uživatelského rozhraní. V další části je zobrazen výběr běžně dostupných nástrojů pro návrh grafického uživatelského rozhraní, po níž následuje prezentace úzkého výběru nejvhodnějších nástrojů, které byly vybrány na základě dílčích cílů práce. Hodnocené nástroje byly prakticky otestovány na konkrétním jednoduchém příkladu.Přínosem práce je zmapování trhu s dostupnými nástroji pro tvorbu grafického uživatelského rozhraní a výběr vhodného nástroje, který by měl po několik let sloužit studentům jako pomůcka a usnadnění při tvorbě zadaných úloh.

Abstract:

Thesis is focused on finding an appropriate tool for designing user interface that will best meet the requirements of the courses of Software Engineering.Thesis is divided into several parts, which correspond to the partial aims of the thesis. The first part of the thesis is focused on the analysis of the courses requirements on the software engineering tool for creating graphical user interfaces.The criteria to choose the appropriate design tools for graphical user interfaces design are determined within the next part. This part also contains establishment and determination of how the appropriate design tools for the graphical user interfaces design will be chosen and evaluated. The following part contains the list of commonly available tools for the graphical user interface design. This part is followed by the presentation of the narrow selection of the most appropriate tools, which were selected on the basis of the particular aims of this thesis. Assessed tools were practically tested on a simple example.The main benefit of this work is the research of the market with the tools for designing of graphical user interface and the selection of appropriate tool, which should be used as an aid for students during creating their aplications.
