Transport policy and environmental objectives of the European Union

Abstract:

Diplomová práce si klade za cíl zodpovědět otázku, jak se environmentální cíle EU promítají do dopravních politik vybraných členských zemí. Následně jsou přístupy těchto krajin porovnány a jsou diskutovány rozdíly nebo naopak společné trendy. První část práce je věnována problematice vztahu dopravy a životního prostředí, další kapitola zkoumá environmentální cíle Evropské unie a také jejich návaznost na dopravu, v další části jsou analyzovány politiky jednotlivých členských zemí a následuje srovnání přístupů.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis aims to answer question how the EU's environmental objectives are related to the transport policy of selected member states. Subsequently, the approaches of these states are compared and differences or, conversely, common trends are discussed. The first part is devoted to the relationship between transport and the environment, the next chapter examines the environmental objectives of the European Union and their relationship to transport, the next part analyses the policies of individual member states and at the end there is a comparison of approaches.
