Occurrence and prevention of javelin throwing injuries

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je pomocí dotazníkového šetření zjistit, jaká jsou mezi dotazovanými oštěpaři nejčastější zranění a zda zařazují do tréninkového procesu nějakou cílenou prevenci proti zranění či návratu zranění, které prodělali. V teoretické části práce jsou popsány základní pravidla hodu oštěpem, stručné základy techniky hodu oštěpem, zranění ve sportu, zranění v atletice a zranění v hodu oštěpem. Dále jsou zde popsány základy prevence zranění a nejrůznější způsoby, pomůcky a služby, které můžeme k prevenci využít. Praktická část práce se věnuje výsledkům dotazníkového šetření, kde se otázky zaměřovaly na míru zranění, typy zranění, typy léčby, prevenci zranění a pomůcky či cvičení při této prevenci využívané. Z výsledků vyplývá, že míra zranění v hodu oštěpem je velice vysoká a prevenci do svého tréninku nezařazuje velká část těchto dotazovaných respondentů.

Abstract:

The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to use a questionnaire survey to find out what are the most common injuries among spearmen and whether they include in the training process some targeted prevention against injuries or recurrence of injuries they have suffered. The theoretical part of the thesis describes the basic rules of javelin throwing, brief basics of javelin throwing technique, sports injuries, athletics injuries and javelin injuries. It also describes the basics of injury prevention and the various ways, tools and services we can use for prevention. The practical part of the work deals with the results of the questionnaire survey, where the questions focused on the degree of injury, types of injuries, types of treatment, injury prevention and aids or exercises used in this prevention. The results show that the rate of javelin injuries is very high and a large proportion of these respondents do not include prevention in their training.
