Abstract:

MotherIng. Profesionalizace pěstounské péče očima pěstounek v dětské SOS vesničce Disertační práce se zaměřuje na prozkoumání role pěstounky v SOS dětské vesničce s reflexí probíhající profesionalizace pěstounské péče. Osobu pěstounky konceptualizuje v prostoru mezi soukromou a veřejnou sférou. Teorie genderu je výchozí epistemologickou perspektivou (Young 1997, Ungerson 1987, Hays 1996). Výzkum probíhal v jedné SOS dětské vesničce v období 2006-2010 metodou zúčastněného pozorování a hloubkových rozhovorů s pěstounkami. Autorka reflektuje genderové aspekty v etnografickém výzkumu. Studie představuje několik úrovní práce pěstounky v kontextu každodennosti SOS dětské vesničky - úroveň individuální identity pěstounky, vztahová úroveň genderové organizace (Acker 1990), systémový přístup totální instituce (Goffman 1961), analýza diskurzu profesionalizace. Z analýzy vzešla tabulka symbolické dimenze péče, shrnující adjektiva diskurzu pěstounské péče. Charakteristiky osobní a profesionální péče odpovídají symbolickému rámci distinkce mezi ženským a mužským genderem. Navrhovaná koncepce institutu profesionální pěstounské péče se ukazuje jako neslučitelná s pojetím péče, jak ji představují zpovídané pěstounky. Práce diskutuje stávající instituci pěstounství .

Abstract:

MotherIng. Professionalization of foster care observed by foster parent in SOS children village The dissertation work is focused on the inspection of foster parent role in SOS children village reflecting the ongoing professionalization of foster care. The foster parent person is conceptualized in the space between the private and public sphere. The gender theory is the default epistemological perspective (Young 1997, Ungerson 1987, Hays 1996). The research took place in one SOS children village in years 2006-2010 and was performed by the method of participant observation and depth interview with the foster parents. The author reflects gender aspects in the ethnographic research. The study introduces several levels of the foster parent work within the everyday context of SOS children village – the foster parent`s individual identity level, the relational level of a gender organization (Acker 1990), the system approach of a total institution (Goffman 1961), professionalization discourse analysis. The analysis has produced a table of symbolic dimension of care, summing up the adjectives of the foster care discourse. The personal and professional care characteristics correspond with the symbolic frame of distinction between female and male gender. The suggested concept of the professional foster care institute is not compatible with the concept of care presented by the interviewed foster parents. The work discusses the current institution of foster parenting.
