Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce zkoumá jednotlivé významy polysémického slovesa da ve standardní čínštině prostřednictvím lingvistického korpusu. První část práce se zabývá rozdílnými způsoby klasifikace sloves ve standardní čínštině, monosylabickými slovy a významy slovesa da obsaženými ve slovníku The Contemporary Chinese Dictionary. Následující kapitola diskutuje lexikální nejednoznačnost, polysémii a vágnost. Ve třetí kapitole jsou představeny koncepty teorie prototypů a radiálních kategorií. Poslední sekce teoretické části je věnována korpusové lingvistice, korpusové analýze a lingvistickému softwaru Sketch Engine. Analýza slovesa da je založena na analýze vět poskytnutých lingvistickým korpusem standardní čínštiny ve zjednodušených znacích, korpusem zhTenTen11. Výsledkem analýzy jsou odlišné významy slovesa da, které se liší v závislosti na tom, s jakým podstatným jménem se sloveso pojí. Kromě jednotlivých významů slovesa da je zkoumána i čestnost jejich výskytu v rámci analyzovaných dat. V závěru práce je diskutován prototypický význam a radiální kategorie slovesa da.

Abstract:

This thesis examines different meanings of polysemous verb 打 da in Mandarin Chinese within the corpus-based analysis. First section of the theoretical part is devoted to various verb classifications in Mandarin Chinese, as well as to monosyllabic words, and meanings of verb 打 da included in The Contemporary Chinese Dictionary. Following section discusses lexical ambiguity, polysemy, and vagueness; as the target verb of this study is a monosyllabic verb that is classified as polysemous, differences between the above-mentioned concepts are explained in this section. In the third section, concepts of prototype theory and radial categories are reviewed. The last section of the theoretical part is focused on corpus linguistics; both corpus-based analysis and Sketch Engine, an online corpus query tool, are introduced in this section. Analytical part of the study is based on the corpus-based analysis; by analysing sentences extracted from simplified Chinese linguistic corpus zhTenTen11, the thesis examines different meanings of verb 打 da depending on noun that follows the verb. Except for analysing individual meanings of the target word, the frequency of all identified verb-noun collocations is examined as well. Finally, this thesis discusses the prototypical meaning of 打 da and proposes radial categories of the target word.
