Education and Educational System in Plzeň Region and its Connection with Labour Market

Abstract:

Cílem této diplomové práce s názvem Vzdělávání a vzdělávací soustava v Plzeňském kraji a její vazba na trh práce je odpovědět na otázku, zda nabídka absolventů škol v Plzeňském kraji odpovídá potřebám trhu práce. V první kapitole jsou objasněny základní pojmy z oblasti vzdělávání a trhu práce. Následující část popisuje vzdělávací soustavu a trh práce v České republice. Je zde zmíněn také legislativní rámec a základní strategické a koncepční dokumenty českého školství. Třetí kapitola se zabývá charakteristikou všech stupňů vzdělávací soustavy v Plzeňském kraji, dále se zaměřuje na trh práce v kraji, s nímž souvisí také poslední část práce. V ní je provedena analýza volných pracovních míst evidovaných úřady kraje a je popsána situace absolventů jednotlivých typů škol na trhu práce. Z výsledků práce vyplynulo, že nabídka absolventů vyšších odborných a vysokých škol v kraji potřebám trhu práce odpovídá. U školství středního je situace složitější - absolventů některých oborů je na trhu práce nedostatek - především vyučených v technických oborech, jiných naopak přebytek - vyučených v oborech gastronomie a maturantů v oborech ekonomických. Ze strany Plzeňského kraje je patrná snaha tuto situaci řešit tak, aby vzdělávací soustava vyhovovala požadavkům trhu práce.

Abstract:

The aim of the thesis called Education and the Educational System in the Plzeň Region and its Connection with Labour Market is to answer the question whether the number of the graduates from the Plzeň region schools corresponds to the needs of the labour market. The first chapter clarifies basic notions in the area of education and labour market. The following part describes the educational system and the labour market in the Czech Republic. This part also includes the legislative framework and basic strategic and conceptual documents of the Czech educational system. The third chapter deals with characterizing of all the levels of the educational system in the Plzeň region, it further focuses on the labour market in the region which is dealt with in the last part of the thesis. The last part includes an analysis of the available job positions registered by the regional offices and also describes the situation of the graduates of different types of school in the labour market. The results of the thesis show that the number of the graduates of the higher professional schools and universities in the region corresponds to the needs of the labour market. However, the situation is more complicated on the level of the secondary education -- there are not enough graduates in some study fields, especially educated in technical fields; conversely, redundancy is the case in other study fields -- for example graduates of gastronomy vocational schools and graduates of economical schools. There is an apparent effort of the Plzeň region to solve the current situation so that the educational system would agree with the requirements of the labour market.
