Adaptation measures of Znojmo city to climate change

Abstract:

Předkládaná bakalářská práce se zabývá dopady změny klimatu na krajinu jak z celosvětového, evropského, tak především z regionálního hlediska. Teoretická část se nejdříve věnuje dosavadním poznatkům o změně klimatu. Dále se zaměřuje na legislativní kroky a úmluvy týkající se změny klimatu. Pomocí map znázorňuje očekávané dopady změny klimatu v České republice dle vývoje emisí CO2 a zaobírá se adaptační strategií České republiky. V závěru teoretická část představuje charakteristiku vybraného zájmového území. Cílem bakalářské práce je zjistit aktuální kroky města Znojma v otázce změny klimatu a navrhnout vhodná adaptační opatření. Cíle práce je dosaženo kvalitativním výzkumem pomocí polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s vybranými respondenty z města Znojma a okolí. Výsledkem práce je identifikace současné adaptační situace na změnu klimatu ve městě Znojmě a představený návrh možných adaptačních opatření.

Abstract:

The submitted bachelor thesis deals with the climate change impact from both the global, European and most importantly regional perspective. Firstly, the theoretical part addresses the current knowledge about climate change. Furthermore, it focuses on the legislative steps and the convention on climate change. With the maps' assistance, it demonstrates the expected climate change impacts in the Czech Republic based on the CO2 emissions course and deals with the Czech Republic´s adaption strategy. At the end of the theoretical part, the characteristic of the selected area is presented. This bachelor thesis aims to find out the current steps of the city of Znojmo in the question of climate change and to suggest appropriate adaptation measures. The goal of this work is reached by conducting qualitative research with half-structured interviews with selected respondents from the city of Znojmo and its surroundings. The result of the thesis is the identification of the current adaptation situation to climate change in the city of Znojmo and the presented proposal of possible adaptation measures.
