Rehabilitation of clients after spinal cord injury in the cervical spine

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na řešení problematiky rehabilitace po úrazu míchy v oblasti krční páteře. Následkem kompletní a inkompletní transversální léze míšní v oblasti krční páteře vzniká tetraparéza (tetraplegie) nebo kvadruparéza (kvadruplegie). Následující práce se skládá celkem z osmi částí. První částí je úvod, následuje přehled teoretických poznatků skládající se z obecné a speciální části, cíle a úkoly práce, hlavní část, diskuze, závěry, použitá literatura a přílohy. V úvodu práce je zdůvodnění výběru tématu. Náplní obecné části jsou definice a pro-jevy onemocnění, anatomie a fyziologie páteře a míchy, následuje incidence, etiologie, patofyziologie, klinické projevy, průběh, prognóza a také diagnostické a terapeutické po-stupy onemocnění. Speciální část se věnuje rehabilitačním fázím, terapeutickým postupům, fyzikální terapii, ergoterapii a v neposlední řadě i psychologické a sociální složce onemoc-nění. V další části práce si stanovuji úkoly a cíle, kterých bych chtěla dosáhnout. Hlavní část obsahuje kazuistiku zvoleného pacienta, anamnézu, kineziologický rozbor vstupní a výstupní, krátkodobý a dlouhodobý rehabilitační plán. Závěr je věnován průběhu rehabili-tace a dosaženým výsledkům v terapii. Práce je v průběhu doplněna řadou tabulek a na konci jsou v přílohách také obrázkové a fotografické přílohy.

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on the problem of rehabilitation after spinal cord injury in the cervical spine. Tetrapareses (tetraplegia) or quadruparesis (qudruplegia) occurs as a result of complete and incomplete transverse lesion of the spinal cord in the cervical spine. The following thesis consists of eight parts in total. Following the introduction, there is also an overview of theoretical background consisting of general and special parts, goals and tasks of the thesis, the main part, discussion, conclusion, bibliography and appendices. The introduction justifies the selection of the topic, while the content of the general part presents the definition and symptoms of the disease, anatomy and physiology of the spine and the spinal cord, followed by the incidence, aetiology, pathophysiology, clinical manifestation, the course, prognosis and diagnostic and therapeutic procedures of the dis-ease. The special section is devoted to the rehabilitation phases, therapeutic procedures, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and last but not least, psychological and social component of the disease. Next section has been intended to set tasks and goal necessary to achieve in this thesis. The main part of the case report contains selected patient medical history, kinesiology analysis input and output, short-term and long-term rehabilitation plan and the course of rehabilitation. The conclusion focuses on a complete summary of the course of rehabilitation and the results achieved in therapy. Within the whole bachelor the-sis you can find charts, photographs and pictures in the appendices to supplement the text.
