Applications of behavioural economics

Abstract:

Tématem diplomové práce je aplikace behaviorální ekonomie. V úvodní části je představen obor behaviorální ekonomie a vybrané behaviorální fenomény (ikea efekt, ukotvení, averze ke ztrátě, šťouch a sociální schválení), které jsou následně testovány v analytické části. Cílem práce bylo ověřit efektivnost poznatků z behaviorální ekonomie na českých respondentech a na základě výsledků experimentu vytvořit doporučení pro internetový obchod Lancova dílna. V rámci výzkumu byla využita kombinace kvantitativních a kvalitativních výzkumných metod, kde stěžejní část představoval dotazníkový experiment, který byl doplněn o osobní dotazování a rozhovor s odborníkem. Výsledky analýzy naznačují, že vliv behaviorální jevů na rozhodování je statisticky významný, ale je přímo závislý na způsobu testování. V závěru práce je na základě primárního a sekundárního výzkumu vypracováno pět doporučení pro společnost Lancova dílna.

Abstract:

The topic of the diploma thesis is the application of behavioural economics. The theoretical part introduces the field of behavioural economics and selected behavioural phenomena (ikea effect, anchoring, loss aversion, nudge and social proof), which are then tested in the analytical part. The aim of the work was to verify the effectiveness of knowledge from behavioural economics on Czech respondents and based on the results of the experiment to create recommendations for the online store Lancova dílna. The research used a combination of quantitative and qualitative research methods, where the main part was a questionnaire experiment, which was supplemented by personal questioning and interview with an expert. The results of the analysis suggest that the influence of behavioural phenomena on decision-making is statistically significant, but is directly dependent on the method of testing. At the end of the diploma thesis, five recommendations for the company Lancova dílna are developed on the basis of primary and secondary research.
