Present Wedding Rituals from the University Students' Point of View

Abstract:

V bakalářské práci Percipovaná rodinná atmosféra a názory vysokoškolských studentů na vstup do manželství je rodinná atmosféra vymezena dimenzemi konfliktovosti a soudržnosti v původní rodině. Hlavní pozornost je zaměřena na problematiku konfliktů v rodině, zejména rodičovských konfliktů a jejich dlouhodobý dopad na chování dítěte, jeho názory a postoje. Další významnou oblastí, která určuje rodinnou atmosféru a mohla by působit na dítě v dlouhodobé perspektivě je soudržnost v původní rodině. Kvantitativní výzkum zkoumá na souboru 134 respondentů možný vztah mezi percipovanou rodinnou atmosférou a názory vysokoškolských studentů ke vstupu do manželství. Na základě výsledků musíme konstatovat, že rodinná atmosféra, vymezená v našem výzkumu soudržností a konfliktovostí v původní rodině, působí na vnímání výhod a nevýhod v manželství jen v emocionální oblasti celkového štěstí. V jiných oblastech života se vztah neprokázal. Výzkum u našich respondentů nepotvrdil předpoklad, že lidé s vyšší soudržností v rodině budou dávat přednost manželství a lidé s vyšší konfliktovostí v původní rodině se budou přiklánět k alternativním způsobům soužití, byl však prokázán vztah mezi rodinnou atmosférou a hodnocením manželství rodičů. V souladu s naším očekáváním se ukázalo,že respondenti z rozvedených rodin se ve svých názorech na vstup do manželství neliší od těch, jejichž rodiče žijí v manželství.

Abstract:

The topic of my bachelor work is The perceived family atmosphere and the entrance into marriage from the university students point of view. The work deals with the family atmosphere which is delimitated by the dimensions of conflict and cohesion among the original family. The main attention is focused on the questions of family conflicts especially parental conflicts and their long-term effect on the child s behaviour, opinions and attitude. Another important area that determines the family atmosphere and that could influence the child in long-term perspective is cohesion of the original family. A group of 134 informants was examined in a quantitative research in terms of possible relations between the perceived family atmosphere and the opinions of university students on marriage. On the basis of its result we must submit that the family atmosphere (delimited in this specific research by cohesion and conflicts among the original family) affects perception of marital advantages and disadvantages only in the emotional sphere of the total happiness. The influence on other spheres of life was not proved. The research among our informants did not verify the issue that people brought up in families with stronger family cohesion would prefer marriage and people brought up in families with more conflict atmosphere among their original family would tend to find alternative way of cohabitation. On the other hand there was proved relation between family atmosphere and evaluation of parents marriage. According to our expectations there was shown that informants coming from divorced families do not differ in their opinions on marriage from those whose parents live in standard marriage.
